My Gift

Coach Phil graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and Psychology while also obtaining his Master’s Degree (M.Ed) from Arizona State in Educational Leadership.

As a young man growing up in the Chicago area, Coach Phil has always had a passion for helping people which is why he was an educator for 10 years as a teacher, dean, and principal. His passion for helping people combined with his love for basketball has made him very influential in the basketball community.

Coach Phil believes “in order to get where you are going, you have to know about where you are going.” This is why every opportunity provided, he speaks and conducts workshops all over the country about such topics as: “The Realities Of College Basketball” and “The Things to Consider When Choosing a High School, AAU or College Program.” Coach Phil also speaks to coaches about”How To Recruit The New Age Recruit” among other topics. He strives to help, assist or save, student-athletes and families from the repeated cycles set by others before them.

You don’t know, what you don’t know! So, once you know better, you do better! This group is designed to inform parents on the things they should consider and the questions they should ask along their child’s basketball journey. Monthly individual consulting is also an option.
